CRICKET COACHING is the business of Steve
Chapman, (standing 3rd from left, click on the photo
to enlarge) a former English
First Class cricketer with Durham County Cricket
Club. Having spent 10 years as an overseas player,
captain and coach of Hallam Kalora Park CC, Steve
now resides in Australia with his partner in the
South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.
His past playing experiences have taken him through
the Caribbean and South Africa, as well as a number
of European countries both as a player and as a
coach. In the UK he has held a number of club
professional roles and also places in representative
cricket teams outside of his two years involvement
in First Class cricket including:

Australia Steve has won 2 Wookey medals as the
competition's best and fairest player, 2 player of the
year awards and 2 all rounder of the year awards at
Turf 1 level.
As an English ECB level III qualified coach, Steve
has considerable experience coaching players both
young and old, from novice to elite level. His
involvement with coaching during his time working as
Development Officer for the ECB in the mid 90`s gave
him immense experience of working with groups of
children in primary and secondary schools and also
with individual junior players of state level
equivalent standard.
Steve specializes in 1:1 player development.
Identifying technical and tactical deficiencies,
then creating training methods to rapidly improve
skills development and tactical awareness. His
coaching philosophies are based around hard work and
keeping the game simple.

operates from one of the leading indoor cricket
centers in Australia.
Cannon Indoor Sports, in Melbourne's Narre
Warren, is home to a purpose built magnificent 6
lane, state of the art, indoor cricket facility,
complete with 2 bowling machines, 15 meter run ups
and superb, realistic, artificial practice surfaces
which suit and encourage all types of player.
